Two Rosebud Men Charged with Third Degree Burglary, Larceny, and Aiding and Abetting

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that two Rosebud, South Dakota, men have been indicted by a federal grand jury for Third Degree Burglary, Larceny, and Aiding and Abetting.

Harold James Black Bull, Jr., age 19, and Jonathan Michael White Lance, age 19, were indicted by a federal grand jury on May 8, 2012. They appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on May 29, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years’ custody, a $250,000 fine, or both.

The charges are merely accusations, and Black Bull and White Lance are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The investigation is being conducted by Rosebud Law Enforcement Services. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Tim Maher. Both men were remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending trial.
